Guided dive around the coral reefs from the easy access beaches of Fitzroy Island in our unique fully submersible submarines. Ideal for those who think they may not like using traditional scuba equipment. Our subs allow you to experience all the thrills of diving without the worry of breathing through scuba gear. Better still you will be able to talk to both your companion and our expert pilot who will be telling you all about what you are seeing. Our safety diver accompanies the dive throughout to ensure the dive is smooth and safe. Underwater visibilty is generally better earlier on in the morning although of course cannot be guaranteed.

** This experience is a true underwater dive. You do not wear any scuba equipment but you will be subject to water pressure as the submarine descends. The maximum depth rarely exceeds 7-8 metres but you will need to be able equalise your ears and sinuses - or 'Pop your Ears' just as you sometimes have to do in an airplane. If you cannot 'pop your ears' then you will be unable to dive with us. Your dive in the submarine is also subject to a medical check. Medical conditions such as asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure or epilepsy may preclude some people from this experience. A medical questionnaire must be completed. Please check prior to booking.
Please advise our crew if you are flying within 24 hours of diving as this too may prevent from taking a submarinedive.

How To Get There:
The submarines and their mothership are based at the island and unable to transfer you to and from Cairns. You will need to get to the island. If you are a resort guest then you have or probably will arrange transfers with them at the time of booking your accommodation. If you are coming to the island for the day then you can book a transfer with one of four boats that come to the island everyday from Cairns Marlin Marina. Reefkist (a medium sized fast catamaran) and Sunkist (the resort's own supply boat) both leave at 7.30am from E Finger. These give you the longest time on the island. Raging Thunder is a fast ferry that leaves at 8.30am. Sunlover is a large comfortable fast catamaran that leaves from A finger at 9.45am. All over them leave the island to return to Cairns between 4-5pm. You can book the Sunlover boat online through us.
Included:
Mask, stinger suit in the stinger season (Nov - Apr), a wet suit should you find the water a bit chilly usually June - Aug.
