Our Passion is to share the real Aussie surfing experience with you . Surfaris surf camp operates all year round.

The Surf Camp
Spacious and serene, this is your home away from home. The
Surfaris Surf Camp is nestled amongst 15 acres of bush land
opposite the beach, creating the perfect retreat to relax, put your
feet up and enjoy a cold drink after a gratifying day of SURFING.
We offer shared dorm accommodation or 3 star private self
contained rooms. The option to upgrade is also available. We are
located on the east coast of NSW, half-way between Sydney and
Byron Bay in the coastal surfing village of Crescent Head. Our
remote location in National Parks is renowned for its world-class
surf breaks, beautifully ancient land, breathtaking seascapes, and
abundance of wildlife.

Surfing
When learning to surf with Surfaris, we teach you more than just
the basics. We teach you what it means to become a surfer. From
ocean awareness, swell forecasting, wind patterns & tides, to
surfboard design, surf etiquette and of course – riding waves. As
a complete novice you will start at the beginning, and be given a
helping hand in the water. But as the days go by, you will be able
to gain the skills to go surfing independently on your own. You
will spend full days, on the beach and in the water, focusing on
the theory and practice of surfing, each day gaining more ocean
knowledge, developing your board skills and your understanding
of the ocean. Our coaches will be surfing with you every step of
the way.


The Surf Breaks
Surfaris has access to 12 different surf breaks all within 30 min
drive of our surf camp including our beach out the front of our
surf camp. Every morning, like real surfers, we check conditions
and surf the best break to suit those conditions. This means we
could be surfing a beautiful Point Break one day and an amazing
Back Beach the next or 4WD up the beach to find a perfect sand
bank, your progression will develop faster.
We are much more than a day school because of the way we can :
WORK WITH MOTHER NATURE AND TOUR AROUND TO
MANY LOCATIONS. WE DO NOT SURF AT JUST ONE SPOT.

Progression
Surfaris Surf camp is constantly mobile, traveling around the many
national parks. We are always surfing the best waves of the day
which means your progression will be at it’s peak. Our customers
have the option to advance from soft boards to hard
boards during the week as we assess and instruct your skills.

Coaches
Professional, approachable and friendly. All of us here at Surfaris
are fully Accredited Surf Coaches and have been surfing since
we were children. Whether you are a total beginner or working
on your cutback, we will be there to help you every step of the
way and most importantly, show you how much fun the surfing
lifestyle can be.

Equipment
Surfaris carries a wide range of surfboards catering for all levels of
surfers. From softboards for beginners to shortboards for rippers,
plus hand shaped fibre glass Malibu’s – We also have wetsuits &
rash-vests for all shapes and sizes.

Awesome Food
Surfaris is well know for its variety and quality of food. The focus
is on healthy, wholesome meals to satisfy your hunger. You will
never go hungry at Surfaris. Vegetarians no problem.

Yoga
For the early risers we offer morning yoga. Energize your body and
calm your mind in preparation for the day ahead, this is the perfect
compliment to surfing. We focus on basic postures, deep breathing,
relaxation & meditation.

Massage
We have an experienced and qualified massage therapist at the
Camp and you can access these additional services anytime.

National Parks AND WILDLIFE
By joining us at Surfaris you will be contributing to the conservation
of our beautiful coastal National Parks and the amazing wildlife
within them. And in turn we are granted exclusive access to surf
the beautiful beaches they offer. We are regularly surfing with dolphins
and the whales are amazing through the Winter and Spring
seasons. There are plenty of Kangaroos, Dingoes and a wonderful
array of Bird life.This area has a very ancient Aboriginal Culture
with Caves and Beautiful Secret Beaches to discover.

Operator Description:

Surfaris runs learn to surf trips between Sydney & Byron Bay. We have a Lodge / Surf Camp at Crescent Head 1/2 way between Byron Bay & Sydney. A variety of trips from 1 day, 3 day to 6 day are on offer, or come as long as you like. Pickup from Byron Bay on Sundays or Sydney on Mondays. Cacth a train or bus to Kempsey and we will pick you up , min 2 night stay. We also offer BackPacker accommodation from $30 p.p.p.n.

All surf trips inclusive of food, accomodation, surf lessons /apparel & transport:
Trip 1 (5 days)
Sydney to surf camp on Mondays, depart to Byron Bay on Firdays $599
Trip 2 (3 days)
Syney to Surf camp on Mondays return back to Sydney or go to Byron Bay on the Wednesday - $399
Trip 3 ( 5 day)
Sydney to surf camp on Monday return on friday to Sydney $599
Trip 4 (4 day)
Byron to Sydney
Departs every Sunday from Byron, returns to Sydney every Wednesday $499
Trip 5 (6 day)
Departs Byron every Sunday returns to Byron or to Sydney every friday $649

Make your own way to us, catch a bus or train to kempsey we will pick you up min 2 night stay.
Daily rate $110 per person = food, one night accom, surf lesson x min 5 hours
