We have selected our outer reef locations for their variety and bottom contours, so to provide the best experience for both beginners, experienced snorkellers and children of all ages. Our staff keep a constant watch over the snorkelling sites making sure all passengers can enjoy the amazing wildlife in perfect safety.

For the beginners we offer one-on-one tuition on gear use and snorkelling techniques, a selection of buoyancy aids (foam noodles, life jackets and wetsuits) and FREE snorkel guides are available all day long to guide you through the natural maze of beautiful coral and fishes.

Osprey V departs Cairns daily offering a fast, comfortable and affordable cruise, with five hours spent visiting two spectacular Outer Great Barrier Reef destinations.

From the comfort of 'Reef Safari' you are able to view the spectacular coral formations and the masses of brilliantly coloured fish without getting wet. A full Great Barrier Reef commentary and fish feeding is provided(activity is weather dependant)

One of the fastest vessels travelling to the true outer Great Barrier Reef, Osprey V allows you to spend more time enjoying the reef and less time travelling. This large modern mono-hull vessel offers over 5 hours at 2 amazing outer reef locations, and with activities for the whole family the Osprey provides the perfect day out at great value.

The Osprey departs daily from Cairns at 8:30am and returns at approx. 5:00pm. Enjoy an Aussie BBQ lunch including fish, steak, sausages, vegetarian, tropical salads and pastas. Then relax in comfort in the modern air-conditioned lounges or laze around on the spacious sundeck after joining the many in-water activities.

On the way home sing along with the on-board entertainer Elvis as he sings and performs his famous didgeridoo show.

For the Snorkellers:
Whether you’re a non-swimmer or an Olympic medallist Down Under Cruise & Dive caters for everyone. With professional Divemasters, specialised flotation devices and FREE dedicated snorkel guides, you'll feel safe in the water whatever your experience level.

For the Certified Divers:
With over 12 exclusive dive sites, the Osprey provides great options for the certified diver. Dedicated Divemasters/Instructors maintain the utmost safety while allowing you to explore to the limits.

For the Introductory Divers:
No experience necessary! Experience the reef the way the fish do in perfect safety, by taking a dive around the reef with one of their professional Dive Instructors. If you’re not sure try the FREE 5 minute trial before you dive!

Additional Info:

A reef tax and fuel levy applies to all persons traveling to the Great Barrier Reef. This will be $20pp and payable onboard.
