For a 'Devil' of a ride on a Jet Boat travelling up to approximately 80 kmph - head to New Norfolk, only half an hours drive from Hobart along the Lyell Highway (A10). The 30 minute ride on the Devil Jet on the upper reaches of the Derwent River, involves skimming over rapids, 360 degree spins, veering close to the willow trees, and manoeuvering skilfully between exposed rocks. Devil Jet caters for all ages and all gear and life jackets are provided. This unique Australian experience operates 7 days a week with a minimum of 2 adults, and the boat can seat 12 passengers. Rides operate from 9am to 4pm, on the hour with a minimum of two adults. You will find our office on the Esplanade in New Norfolk. All wet-weather gear is supplied, and bookings are recommended. Pickup Time:

Rides are of 30 minutes duration, and operate daily from 9am to 4pm from our office situated on the Esplanade in New Norfolk, about 35 minutes drive north/west from Hobart on the A10 Highway. Bookings are recommended, and you need to arrive 15 minutes prior to your ride, and all gear is supplied for you to wear over your clothes. PLEASE CONTACT US FOR AVALIBLE DEPATURE TIMES.

Itinerary:

Summer time table trips run on the hour between 9.00am and 4.00pm from 1st October to 30th March.
Winter time table trips run on the hour between 10.00am and 3.00pm from 1st April to 31st August.

How To Get There:

If leaving Hobart you travel on the A1 (or Brooker Highway) north, then veer off to the left onto the A10 (or Lyell Highway) leading to New Norfolk, and on further to the West Coast of Tasmania. On entering New Norfolk, you will come to a small roundabout, go through that, and 50 metres further on you will see our sign - "Jet Boat Rides" leading down to the right and onto the Esplanade area next to the river. On reaching the river, look to the left, and we are situated in a green Office on the water.

Please Bring:

Sunglasses, camera are optional, and beanies recommended in colder months.
